I am a Swedish actor who now works and resides in Edinburgh. For the last two years, I have been studying acting for film and theatre at a University in Molkom Sweden. Before that, I studied Musical theatre for 3 years at a trade school while also being part of smaller theatre groups producing 2 short films and a play.
By studying both film, stage, and musical theatre I have experienced a wide range of acting styles and expressions. All of these mediums are very different and I have come to love them all in very different ways but film and stage will always have a special place in my heart.
The interest in the stage has been with me for a long time starting with a theatre group for children when I was 14. Since that the interest grew.
I applied and auditioned for Tibble Gymnasium, Musical artist education, the Swedish version of a College/trade school. For three years I then studied dancing, singing, and acting as my major. During those years I also joined a theatre group that produced 2 short films. With the director and some other people from the same group we also produced a play called “Take me to Düsseldorf”.
After a short break, I applied for Molkom University acting for film and stage. During the first year, we had a deep dive into character development and discipline. In our second year, we focused on Directing, producing, and drama education. We helped to produce the first-year student’s winter play. We each were assigned the role of mentor for a small group of students and with that group produced and directed a collage play of greeks myths. At the end of that course, I received a diploma as a Drama Educator.
While studying Musical theatre I joined a theatre group that produced two short films. You could say that is when I caught the bug and as soon as I finished Musical Theatre I studied Film science at the University of Stockholm for a year.
Once that was done I wanted to get back to acting and searched for courses that were focused on acting for film and that’s when I found Molkom University acting for stage and film. During my two years, there we worked very closely with the film students, learning about how to work with the cameraman, the director, and the script supervisors. In the first year, we got to be apart of a minimum of 9 different films working with a new film crew each time. In our second year, the film students had 3 months to write and produce a short web-series. The series contained 7 episodes of 15 minutes each. In the second year, the film students also got the opportunity to make their last movie project to produce all by themselves and I had the pleasure to be cast in some of them.
The interest in theatre started early but it wasn’t until I was fourteen that I could join a Musical Theatre group. At that time I got dancing and voice coaching. When I turned 16 and it was time to apply for Gymnasium (College) I had my eyes set on Musical theatre.
For three years I studied dancing, acting, and singing at Tibble Gymnasium, Musical artist education. At the end of that year, the school produced the musical Grease with the graduate students in the cast.
