SHOWREEL
Drama teacher
Studied acting for film and theatre for two years. The first year was focused on personal development. How to build a character, how to install discipline and routines, Deep dive, into your acting, and improve on your weaknesses. We worked side by side with the film students and ĺearnt not only how to act on stage but also how to act in front of cameras.
In our second year, we learned more about how to be our own producers/directors. How to work in a team and to create material for bookings and events. We also studied educational drama and how to be drama educators. I took on mentorship for three students and was assigned to find three monologues that I would direct and rehearse with them, it would later be part of a collage of monologues. Together with the film students in year two we also took part in a web-series of 7 episodes, 15 min each. As our exam project for year two we, me and my classmates, produced our play on our own with assistance from our director.
For one term I studied the basics of film science, learning about film history, and cinematography among other things. This has given me a deeper understanding of the inner workings of filmmaking.
For three years I had classes in acting and singing up to two times a week and dancing three times a week. With this, I gained an understanding of my body as a tool even in acting and learned to control and use my voice properly while on stage.
I grew more confident in my dancing and learned what it is like to work in an ensemble and with various types of people. At the end of those three years, I took part in the school's second musical production in the role of Frenchy in GREASE. It was a lot of fun and at graduation, I earned the school's award for Musical artist of the year.
I have studied Krav Maga for 5 years. I have choreographed almost all the stunts in the movies I have been part of.
For one of the earlier film projects I was part of we had to do a lot of stunts and we were allowed to join a nearby self-defense club for free. When the filming was done I chose to continue and went on for about 5 years before I had to move. We also participated in a stunt camp as preparation for the film.
I’m comfortable around horses and know how to ride.
When I was younger my aunt owned two retired full-blood horses and I spent a lot of time with her and thus spent a lot of time riding.
During my time volunteering for the sci-fi world convention, I got to be hostess for the QnA section where I had the chance to interview actors like Steven Ogg and Temuera Morrison.
